TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – People across Northeast Kansas are invited to take steps in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming up in both Topeka and Manhattan. Alzheimer’s Association Walk Manager Carol Maynard and committee member and volunteer Tracy Raymond visited Eye on NE Kansas to share information about the events.
The walks are the organization’s largest fundraisers. People are invited to honor people who have passed away from the disease, and support hope for new treatments.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s with the Manhattan & NE Kansas Alzheimer’s Assoc. is Sept. 26 in Topeka and Oct. 3 in Manhattan.
In Topeka, the opening ceremony begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 26 at Lake Shawnee Shelter #1. In Manhattan, the opening ceremony begins 9 a.m. Oct. 3 at the Norvell Band Shell in City Park.
