Christine S. Clark, 43, of Hartford, attacked her spouse, James M. Clark, on Wednesday morning, Sept. 23, New York State Police said.
Investigators said Christine Clark attacked James Clark, also 43, with a box cutter to slice his body and slammed his head with a coffee mug, according to ABC affiliate WTEN.
State troopers responded to the Clarks’ home around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday and found James Clark unconscious and suffering from life-threatening injuries, authorities said. He was rushed to Glens Falls Hospital, where he died, according to state police.
Christine Clark was taken to a state police station in Granville, then charged with second-degree murder, evidence tampering, and fourth-degree weapons possession, officials said. She was arraigned Thursday, Sept. 24 in Washington County and booked in county jail without bail, according to authorities.
