They gotta be kitten!
A New York City cat rescue group is bringing politics into pet ownership — by reportedly refusing to let anyone who is “MAGA” adopt their kitties.
Animal lovers’ claws came out Wednesday after Itty Bitty City Kitties — a Rockaway Beach-based nonprofit specializing in orphaned kitten adoption — posted a lefty list of requirements needed to take home one of their adorable furballs.
“MAGA? Nope.Conservative? Nope,” it wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday. ‘I’m not political?’ Nice loophole. Still nope.”

“These kittens are looking for homes with a tote bag collection, oat milk, an aggressively progressive group chat, a compost bin, NPR playing somewhere in the background, and someone who has rage-donated to mutual aid at least once,” the post continues.
“If your politics involve racism, bigotry, dehumanizing immigrants, or cheering on cruelty toward vulnerable people, please kindly f–k right off.”
“Applications are open for people whose values align with ours, and yes, references will be checked to make sure you’re not a racist piece of s–t,” it declares.

The bizarre, politically-fueled post gave animal rights advocates — well — paws, drawing criticism from the traditionally non-partisan group PETA.
“Homeless animals don’t care which side of abortion you are on or whether you believe in global warming or support Palestine or Israel or if you don’t vote at all, ever. They care if you love them and will give them a good home,” PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk told Fox News Digital.

“We hope this policy, which is humancentric, is reconsidered and abolished.”
The post from Itty Bitty Kitties drew wider attention Tuesday after Libs of TikTok posted it on X, prompting questions about whether the language represented the rescue’s actual enforced adoption practices.
Samantha Knox, the reported director of the nonprofit, defended the group’s screening approach by saying it helps ensure the animals are in good care, according to Fox News Digital.

“As an animal welfare rescue, our primary responsibility is ensuring the animals in our care go to safe, compassionate homes,” Knox told the outlet.
The organization is listed among New York state’s registered pet rescues and bills itself as working to save “ the tiniest of orphan felines, neonatal infant kittens” and “helping them to grow and thrive.”
The group didn’t immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment Thursday.
