On September 15, 2026, at approximately 10:51 a.m., members of the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit observed a 2017 Nissan northbound on the NYS Thruway in the Town of Rosendale in violation of multiple New York State Vehicle and Traffic Laws.
Troopers initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver and sole occupant as Jesus A. Camacho, age 36, of Columbia, New York. During the investigation, K-9 Kell was deployed and alerted positively to the odor of narcotics.
The vehicle was then searched which resulted in the discovery of approximately seven kilograms of cocaine.
Camacho was charged with the following:
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Narcotic, a class A felony
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree Narcotic drug intent to sell, a class B felony
Camacho was arraigned on September 15, 2026, at Ulster County Centralized Arraignment Part and he was remanded to Ulster County Jail.
