A dump truck struck and killed a cyclist near Penn Station Monday morning, the NYPD said.
The truck was traveling along West 34th Street, near Seventh Avenue, around 10:50 a.m. when it collided with a man on a bicycle riding in the same direction, authorities said.
The truck’s driver kept going down the street, according to police. Emergency responders pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene.
His name and age weren’t immediately released.
No arrests have been made so far, and an investigation is ongoing.
The NYPD said West 34th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue was temporarily closed to traffic after the incident.
