Police are on the hunt for a callous brute who sucker-punched a senior on a Bronx street earlier this month in an unprovoked attack.
Detectives have released surveillance images of the man they are looking to identify after he approached a 72-year-old man as he walked in front of a pharmacy on 1320 Metropolitan Ave. in Parkchester on Sept. 15. Cops say the assailant did not say anything to his victim as he rushed up to him at around 1:30 p.m. and punched him in the right side of his face without provocation.
The victim was sent falling to the ground, cutting his knees, police said. He also suffered pain and swelling to the face. EMS responded and treated him on scene, he refused further medical attention.
