A 57-year-old man was killed Monday after a shopping bag he was carrying became caught between the doors of a moving subway train in Brooklyn, police said.

The incident happened just before 6 p.m. at the Utica Avenue station in Bedford-Stuyvesant on the A and C line, the NYPD said.

Police said the man, identified as Yaw Boahene, of East Flatbush, was dragged onto the tracks after his bag got stuck between the doors of a northbound A train.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities said there was no criminality involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The MTA referred a request for comment to the NYPD.
