MTA delays have snarled another morning commute with trains running late across the system Thursday morning.
Commuters who rely on the 2,3,7, A, B, D, F and M trains are likely running late as delays are slowing all those subway lines. C and E trains are also skipping stops.
The blue lines, which have been running with delays since Wednesday evening’s commute, were slowed by signal malfunctions, according to the MTA.
The 7 train was stopped due to smoke conditions, but the MTA said the FDNY has now cleared the area and by 10 a.m. normal service had resumed.
A police investigation is slowing 2 and 3 trains according to transit officials. According to the NYPD, a dog fell onto the tracks on the northbound tracks at Chambers St. at 9 a.m. Responding officers helped MTA staff remove the dog, which did not sustain any injuries and was returned to its owner.
It’s unclear when regular service will resume on the other affected lines.
