With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.

“The Imaginary Invalid”

First up, there’s a new comedy at the Todd Haimes Theatre.

Tony Award winner Bill Irwin is back on Broadway this fall, starring in his own adaptation of Moliere’s classic comedy, “The Imaginary Invalid.”

He’s joined on stage by Rachel Bloom, best known for creating and starring in the TV series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” The revival marks Bloom’s Broadway debut.

“Human Things”

Moving to the Off-Broadway scene, check out “Human Things” at the West End Theatre.

Two-time Tony Award winner Victoria Clark stars in the four-hander, which also features Rebeca Robles.

Clark and Robles also stopped by the “On Stage” studio to discuss the production.

Arts Ignite Gala

And finally, looking ahead to Oct. 12, the nonprofit Arts Ignite is celebrating two decades with a special gala.

The organization is dedicated to expanding access to the arts for young people around the world. Arts Ignite will honor actor Danielle Brooks, director Whitney White and former Broadway Cares executive director Tom Viola.

The nonprofit was founded by Broadway music director and conductor Mary-Mitchell Campbell, who was named a 2026 Tony Award honoree.
