New York City police are investigating a hammer attack outside a Burger King in Brooklyn that sent two men to the hospital.
The assault happened in Dyker Heights, near the intersection of 65th Street and 14th Avenue, shortly after 9:00 p.m. Saturday night, investigators said.
Police said the victims — both 36 years old — were struck in the head with a hammer.

The severity of their injuries was unclear, but both men were taken by private vehicle to Lutheran Medical Center, where they were still recovering Sunday night.
Some neighbors told NBC New York the attack was concerning, especially if it is determined to have been random.
“The situation is not very good. I have a family and it causes me to think about protection or something like that you know? But I suppose it was only one time and nothing else,” a resident who have the name “Eugene” said.
Sources told News 4 that police are looking for two men who ran from the scene. No arrests have been made.
