A raccoon walked into a Greenwich Village church, and no, this isn’t the start of a joke. Cameras captured the animal crashing a prayer service.
GREENWICH VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) — A raccoon presumably looking for ‘prey’ with an ‘e’ wound up finding a place to ‘pray’ with an ‘a.’
The creature was caught on camera running inside St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich Village. It darted past people outside on Sixth Avenue and made its way through the front doors.
The church was holding its Nightfire Candlelight Prayer Service.
The raccoon did not stick around for the full program but instead ran back outside.
