Soon, the new musical by Nick Blaemire (Glory Days, Safety Not Guaranteed, Space Dogs), officially opened its limited engagement at The Loft at St. Luke’s Theatre October 5, and critics are weighing in. See what they had to say below. Will Blum (Beetlejuice) is directing.

The cast features TikTok singer-songwriter and recording artist Oliver Richman as Jonah, Mike Millan (Titaníque) as Steven, Ava Delaney (Fanny: a Fantasy in G) as Charlie, and Mylinda Hull (Gypsy, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) as Adrienne. Understudies Jillian Abaya (The Great Gatsby) and Ruchir Khazanchi (The Becomers, Thumb) round out the company.

The intimate, indie-pop chamber musical asks the question, “What do you do with the time you have left?” While 20-something Charlie waits for the end of the world, Jonah waits for her to start living. But before time runs out, Charlie must do the hardest thing imaginable: open the front door.
