A Manhattan man was found guilty Monday in the attempted murder of 3 Staten Island police officers. Divante Pitt, 32, was convicted on the top 3 counts of first-degree attempted murder and firearm charges. The case centered on a Mother’s Day pursuit that ended with gunfire on a Port Richmond street. Prosecutors said Pitt fired several shots through his windshield at the officers during the chase. The jury heard that bullets were found inside a marked NYPD vehicle and firearms were recovered from Pitt’s car. Justice Lisa Grey adjourned the case to Nov. 19 for sentencing in state Supreme Court in St. George.
