Authorities have identified the man wanted for pushing a mother to her death from a 15th-floor balcony in the Bronx as she was holding her 8-month-old daughter.
They identified him in a wanted poster Wednesday as 31-year-old Angel Carrasco and said he should be considered armed and dangerous. An investigation that drew a heavy emergency response about three blocks from the scene of Nathaly Ramirez’s death was said to be linked to that search, sources familiar with the matter say.

Law enforcement sources say Ramirez, 23, was holding her daughter when she was shoved off the balcony on Olinville Avenue in Allerton early Tuesday. Both plunged to the ground.
Ramirez was pronounced dead at a hospital. The baby girl was taken there in critical condition and was improving, officials said Wednesday. Authorities believe her mother’s body may have cushioned her fall.
Ramirez’s death is being investigated as a homicide, police have said.
Police were reviewing surveillance video as part of their investigation. The video shows a man walking away in a hooded sweatshirt as police responded to the scene, police sources said.
The search for him is ongoing. An investigation that drew a heavy emergency response about three blocks from the scene of Ramirez’s death was said to be linked to that search, sources familiar with the matter said, but no further information was immediately available.
Sources said there was a history of domestic violence at Ramirez’s address, and police were looking to question her ex-boyfriend after the deadly incident.
A witness who lives in the Allerville Arms apartment building said she heard yelling in the middle of the night before screams led people to find Ramirez’s body outside. A neighbor told NBC New York she heard the young woman pleading with someone before she and her baby plunged from the balcony.
“I heard her yelling and screaming, ‘Please don’t do this. My baby. You know my baby is scared. Look at her face,'” the neighbor said. “Next thing you know, I hear her scream, and I see something hit the ground.”
No arrests have been made.
