Honolulu police have opened a second-degree attempted murder case after a man with a gunshot wound was dropped off at an Ewa Beach hospital early today.

Just before 5 a.m., a 31-year-old man was dropped off at The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu with a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.

Hospital staff immediately transferred him to Queen’s Medical Center at Punchbowl for further treatment. He was in serious condition.

A possible suspect, described as a 33-year-old man, fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction, police said.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing.
