Queen Letizia can’t stop pulling gems from her historic royal jewelry collection—and we certainly can’t blame her.
It was just last week when the Spanish monarch decorated her elegant updo with the one and only Spanish Floral Tiara—a romantic diamond-covered crown commissioned by King Alfonso XII in 1879. Letizia paired the headpiece with a powder-blue Carolina Herrera gown and Queen Victoria Eugenie’s diamond chaton earrings from 1906. She wore the same earrings, plus a pair of magnificent diamond cuffs (which were once part of a tiara) also from Victoria Eugenie’s collection, just days later, to a gala dinner in Finland.
And yesterday, for another engagement in the country, Letizia brought out a fantastic diamond brooch from the royal archives.

The platinum piece is bow-shaped and covered entirely in little clear diamonds. It was once a favorite of Letizia’s mother-in-law, Queen Sofia, who often wore it with a sash of royal orders for major events in the 1970s.
Letizia herself has worn the piece before, most notably for a reception at Buckingham Palace in 2023, ahead of King Charles III’s coronation. She paired it then with a striking lime-green dress, but yesterday, she went more subtle with her look, pinning it to a lovely navy skirt suit.

Giving us all the autumnal-dressing inspiration, the queen styled her navy jacket and midi skirt with burgundy staples: tall leather boots with pointed heels, and JW PEI’s totally affordable “Noor” top-handle bag. One of her favorite pair of diamond teardrop earrings completed the look.
