NEW YORK, N.Y. (PIX11) — Manhattan’s streak of rain-free days reached six on Saturday as high pressure parked itself over the region and filled the sky with bright sunshine.
Unfortunately, the wet weather makes its return on Sunday as Isaias brings its leftovers to the area.
Expect clouds to be on the increase Saturday night as Isaias’s remnants close in on our area. Most locations should remain dry but southern portions of New Jersey could see a few raindrops towards daybreak. Overnight lows will primarily be in the 50s, although 40s are likely in northwestern New Jersey, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
Get the umbrellas ready for Sunday as more wet weather is forecasted. Showers are expected to develop south to north, reaching the city during the late-morning hours. Pockets of heavy rain or thunderstorms could move through some locations later in the day, and wind gusts in excess of 30 mph are possible. Temperatures will only reach the upper 50s to low 60s.
NYC forecast and PIX11’s Weather Center
Some leftover raindrops are possible Monday morning but conditions will begin drying out during the afternoon. Winds will decrease as well. Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s.
We’ll stay on the dry side for most of Tuesday, however, a shower or thunderstorm could develop late in the day as a front approaches the city. Afternoon highs will once again be in the 60s.

Look for cooler conditions on Thursday and another chance of showers Friday afternoon into Saturday.
