Grammy-winning pianist, composer and band leader Arturo O’Farrill has spent decades bringing Afro Latin jazz to audiences in New York City and around the world.
Now, he’s helping build something even bigger: a permanent cultural home in East Harlem called Casa Belongó.
This Wednesday, his nonprofit organization, Belongó, is holding its annual benefit to support that mission. And his Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra has a new weekly gig in Times Square.
