Steady rain did little to dampen spirits as 10,336 runners took part in the Staten Island Half Marathon on Sunday October 11, 2026. The 13.1 miles took participants along the borough’s North and East shores, from Bay Street through Fort Wadsworth and back. Hosted by nonprofit New York Road Runners, the race was the sixth and final event in its Five-Borough Series. Manhattan’s Teshome Mekonen won the men’s division. Fatima Alanis won the women’s title, while J Solle took the nonbinary division title.
