NYU Langone Health has opened a 28,000-square-foot outpatient imaging center on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, expanding access to advanced diagnostic imaging services for patients in New York City.
Located at 1980 Broadway, NYU Langone Radiology—Upper West Side offers imaging services for breast, neurological, cardiovascular and cancer care, including integrated PET/MR, advanced cardiac CT and 3D mammography.
The facility’s PET/MR system will help evaluate dementia, neurodegenerative diseases and certain cancers. Its cardiac CT technology provides noninvasive imaging of the heart and blood vessels, while its 3D mammography systems incorporate validated artificial intelligence tools to assist with breast cancer detection.

All examinations are interpreted by board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists specializing in their respective clinical areas. According to NYU Langone, most imaging studies are read within 24 hours.
“This new location advances our mission to deliver the best imaging care in the world to patients right in their own neighborhood,” said Oren Cahlon, MD, executive vice president, vice dean for clinical affairs and strategy, and chief clinical officer at NYU Langone Health. “By bringing together cutting-edge technology with a team of leading radiologists under one roof on the Upper West Side, we can detect disease earlier, plan treatments more precisely, and improve lives.”
The center is integrated with NYU Langone’s electronic health record system, allowing imaging results and other clinical information to be shared across the health system. Patients can also access their records and schedule appointments through the NYU Langone Health app or MyChart patient portal.
The opening adds to NYU Langone’s outpatient network, which includes more than 400 locations across the New York City metropolitan area and Florida.
