Broadway’s upcoming revival of Richard Greenberg‘s Three Days of Rain will play the Longacre Theatre beginning January 30, 2027, officially opening March 1. The revival will play a 16-week limited engagement. Ticket sale information is forthcoming.

As previously announced, Anna D. Shapiro (Eureka Day) is directing a starry cast that includes Heated Rivalry star François Arnaud, current film Superman David Corenswet, and The Handsmaid’s Tale’s Yvonne Strahovski. Casting is by Caparelliotis Casting.

Also newly revealed are the production’s creative team, which will include scenic designer Todd Rosenthal, lighting designer Donald Holder, sound designer Justin Ellington, and wig and hair designer Luc Verschueren for Campbell Young Associates. Gigi Buffington will serve as voice and text coach. Shapiro is reuniting with Rosenthal after the two collaborated on an earlier staging of Three Days of Rain at Chicago’s Steppenwolf.

A 1998 Pulitzer finalist, Three Days of Rain follows three children of two successful architects as they gather for the reading of their parent’s will in the first act, and the original partners and the woman who came between them in the second act. The work premiered Off-Broadway via Manhattan Theatre Club in 1997, playing a brief Broadway run in 2006 with Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, and Bradley Cooper starring.

The upcoming production will feature Arnaud as Pip and Theo, Corenswet as Walker and Ned, and Strahovski as Nan and Lina.

David Binder is producing the revival with Jayne Baron Sherman co-producing. 101 Productions, Ltd. and Christopher Taggart are serving as executive producers and general managers.

“Three Days of Rain is truly one of the most beautiful plays I’ve ever done or experienced,” said Shapiro in an earlier statement. “Steeped in the brilliantly funny and enchantingly complex world of Richard Greenberg, the story follows two generations of New York intelligentsia as they navigate the burden of family, the seduction of art, and the necessity of love over time and eternity.”
