Brooklyn toy store Art of Play has heard no response from Kelly Clarkson despite their “multiple” attempts at reconciliation.

Since the “Since U Been Gone” singer initially shared her negative experience at the curiosity store, the owners and staff have tried to remedy the “misunderstanding.” However, Clarkson has denied their requests so far.

“They have not heard from Kelly but have reached out via multiple channels,” a source in the Art of Play neighborhood told Page Six.

While the store awaits a response, it is leaning on the support of the local community.

“They’ve experienced such an outpouring of support from neighbors and visitors to the store,” the source said. “Anyone who stops by can plainly see. Other businesses have dropped off gift bags and sent flowers.

“They have absolutely been seeing increased foot traffic with many people coming just to take a selfie with Molly,” a regular customer mentioned, referencing the mechanical bird Clarkson originally attempted to buy.

Although Art of Play has experienced “nothing but love in real life,” the store is still receiving backlash online.

“The hatred continues online, but they stopped looking days ago,” the source added.

The scrutiny began last weekend, when the “Stronger” singer took to X to recall her experience at the curiosity store. As she considered purchasing an item, she reportedly “was looked at as if I couldn’t afford” it and was told an employee could “find something comparable.”

“Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale,” she wrote. “But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out.”

Just a day after the singer’s post, Art of Play’s team responded to the claims on Instagram, explaining she had attempted to buy “Molly,” a one-of-a-kind singing and dancing bird automaton “who plays an important role in the magic shows we host here.

“Molly is permanently attached to the wall and isn’t for sale,” the store clarified. “However, the negative experience Kelly described on twitter would resonate with anyone who has ever felt judged in a shop.”

Although they expressed hope to “clear things up with Kelly someday,” the singer wasn’t interested as she blasted their “narrative” in a separate tweet.
