MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – KU volleyball improves to 5-1 in Big 12 play with a sweep over K-State on Thursday night.
Jayhawks star-studded freshman Taylor Stanley led with a game-high 16 kills. Grace Nelson added 10 kills.
“That’s probably as quiet as you are going to keep (Addison) Massey,” KU head coach Matt Ulmer told 13 SPORTS. “I thought we did a good job with that. She didn’t get after us too much there. Again, that’s a tough matchup for anyone to deal with Taylor. I thought she won that matchup which was pretty neat. She was scoring from all sorts of places for us and that was big.“
K-State falls to 9-6 overall and 1-6 in conference play.
KU hosts No. 8 Arizona State on Sunday at noon inside Allen Fieldhouse.
