The in-person event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the BPJCC Community Center, 5102 13th Ave. Organizers say the program is designed to help property owners address outstanding issues directly with department staff, rather than attend a seminar or presentation.
Owners of properties containing one to four families can meet individually with Buildings Department representatives to discuss violations, outstanding job applications, permit requests and small-business inquiries. Same-day processing will be available for eligible matters.
Services include on-site reviews of stop-work orders, assistance with eligible requests to lift those orders, and submission of inspection requests for full or partial vacate orders.
Attendees can also submit certificates of correction for review and same-day processing, obtain fee estimates, and explore payment options for civil penalties, work performed without permits and other Buildings Department violations.
Senior department staff from various units will also be available to discuss building code compliance and help owners understand the steps needed to resolve outstanding matters.
The free event is intended to give small property owners direct access to city officials and practical guidance on navigating the city’s building regulations.
