Brooklyn EXPO 2026: Mojo Hand FX SMPLoFi US
Sample rate reduction reverb      19/10/26

We spoke to Brendan from Full Effects Distribution about the  Mojo Hand Effects SMP Lo-Fi and Cusack Music Rebound   – the three-knob Mojo Hand Effects pedal takes its reference from the Super Nintendo S-SMP audio subsystem, with a focus on early video-game DSP, bit crushing, sample-rate reduction and reverb.

SMP Lo-Fi has two modes. In reverb mode, it combines a bit-crushed reverb with a band-pass-filtered texture and a slight LFO. The controls let the bit crushing sit lightly above the dry guitar or become more pronounced. In the other mode, one knob controls sample rate, so the effect can be tuned in real time while additional bit crushing is mixed in.

He also gave us a quick listen to the Cusack Music Rebound. It is a multi-delay pedal with eight delay algorithms, including pitch delay, tape delay, reverse delay and Deluxe Memory Man-style sounds. It includes tap tempo, subdivisions, break up/down footswitch functions and a hold-style feedback ramp.

SMP Lo-Fi is available now for $160.
