NEW YORK (PIX11) — The northern lights may be shining for New Yorkers once again on Wednesday night.

On Tuesday, much of the northern U.S. and some southern states were treated to a wonderful display of color in the sky at around 9 p.m. Is that the case for Wednesday?

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space Weather Prediction Center, the timeline for Wednesday’s light show is lining up with its predecessor.

The aurora forecast shows visibility beginning somewhere around 8 p.m. Eastern Time, peaking about an hour later. The visibility will begin to wane sometime around 11 p.m., according to the forecast.
