As the NFL trade deadline looms on November 4, the New York Giants are abuzz with speculation for a wide receiver upgrade, amid a 2-4 start entering Week 7.

The team has restructured the contracts of cornerback Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland, creating just over $4.8 million in additional cap space for 2025.

The adjustment, reported by ESPN’s Field Yates, provides crucial flexibility for general manager Joe Schoen to pursue midseason reinforcements around quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Adebo, a third-round pick from Stanford, signed to a three-year deal in March, boasts 47 passes defensed and 10 interceptions across four-plus NFL seasons. Holland, on a comparable pact, was expected to infuse elite ball skills and versatility into the secondary, but the pair has had a rocky start to their respective Giants careers.

This relief was vital even before trade talk, as the Giants ranked last in the league with just $473,899 in space beforehand. Whispers now center on acquiring a proven wide receiver to pair with running back Cam Skattebo and ignite the offense. Names like Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders have surfaced in rumors.
