Broadcast-audio professionals will gather at NAB’s AES co-show and then at the AES Show
During the last half of this month, two major broadcast expositions will show off their sonic colors. On Oct. 21–22, the Audio Engineering Society (AES) will participate in NAB Show New York 2026 at the Javits Center, and the flagship AES Show Nashville 2026 is scheduled for Oct. 30–Nov. 1 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort.
AES/NAB/NYC

On Thursday, Oct. 22, dedicated AES programming at NAB Show New York will highlight current challenges, workflows, and innovations in broadcast, live production, and content-delivery platforms. A free-to-access exhibit floor will be open to all registered NAB Show New York attendees, including the SMPTE ST 2110 IP Media Roadshow, which will examine timing, synchronization, and the network infrastructure used to carry audio and video over IP.
“We’ve enjoyed a strong relationship with AES for more than a decade,” says Karen Chupka, EVP, NAB Show, “and are pleased to welcome AES, its members, and the professional-audio community back to NAB Show New York. Professional audio remains a vital part of the NAB Show ecosystem, and we’re excited to continue that collaboration in 2026.”
THE AES Show

Subtitled “Where Audio’s Future Finds Its Voice,” AES Show Nashville 2026 will highlight 3D listening and spatial production and offer technical papers, studio tours of local recording facilities, and technology showcases. Its wide range of audience includes audio engineers, producers, musicians, songwriters, educators, students, and industry researchers.
This year’s agenda features engaging panels on immersive sound, including “Immersive Listening Environments: From Spatial Soundscapes to Restorative 3D Audio,” “Live Immersive Audio,” and one exploring the Berlin Planetarium and its 49.1 loudspeaker system!
“In Nashville,” says AES President Brecht De Man, “you’ll find many of the familiar experiences that have long defined the AES Fall Convention, now paired with a fresh, re-energized atmosphere, a vibrant exhibit hall, and an exciting mix of events, demonstrations, and opportunities to connect. The program will also feature technical-paper presentations, workshops, product demos, immersive listening, student events, and many special sessions. I continue to be impressed with how freely people share their expertise and experience at the AES Show, whether they’ve been in the business for decades or have just started to venture into the art and science of sound.”
One month, two high-level sound-tech shows. Think of it as the blue moon of professional audio.
