With Artists across all four teams vying for the chance to perform during Cut Week, the rookie Coach suggested a hilarious idea for Carson Daly’s next Halloween costume. During the October 19 episode, while goofing around between performances with Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and Riley Green, Queen Latifah took note of their Host’s movements across the stage in a funny impromptu moment.

Queen Latifah suggests the perfect Halloween costume for Voice host Carson Daly

During a moment of brevity in between performances, the Season 30 Coaches were caught passing the time in the most hilarious ways. Levine took the opportunity to get a good stretch using their oversized Coach chairs for support. “I’m just trying to get some traction in my lower back,” Levine said after Green accused him of doing a Pilates workout.

Over by Queen Latifah’s chair, she went on to make an observation that gave Voice audiences a hearty laugh.

“Carson has to be Grim Reaper on Halloween,” Queen Latifah commented. “I’m telling you, the way he floats out there, he’s like, not lit, he just walks up there.”

Sure enough, cameras captured the longtime Voice Host looking quite reaper-like as he walked across the set in the dim lighting, always appearing in the darkest parts of the stage. Queen Latifah couldn’t help but laugh at her spot-on assessment.

Beyond coming up with a solid Halloween costume suggestion for Daly, Queen Latifah is also the creative mind behind Green and Levine’s bromance-in-the-making nickname on The Voice.

During a backstage moment towards the end of Blind Auditions, Levine and Green were asked what it was like to be “the only two Coaches left fighting for Artists” as Queen Latifah made another hilarious observation.

“Also known as Radum!” the first lady of hip hop quipped to Clarkson off to the side.

“She named y’all,” Clarkson happily told Green and Levine, who seemed pretty pleased with their new nickname. Levine also made sure to point out that this was a first, as he and his fellow OG Voice Coach and bestie Blake Shelton didn’t even have a mashed-up moniker.

“Me and Blake never had a thing like that,” Levine said. “We didn’t have Bladum.”
