FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Police are on the hunt after multiple OMNY machines were destroyed in Brooklyn last week.
Seven OMNY card readers were damaged and multiple surveillance cameras were sprayed with red paint at the Church Avenue subway station in Flatbush last Wednesday just after 12:30 p.m., authorities said.

MTA sources told PIX11 that they’ve since repaired the OMNY readers, and crew members are making regular site visits at the station.
Social media video circulating online appeared to show at least two people painting the cameras and using a drill to destroy the card reader glass. The pair also appeared to leave behind papers that read “live free, ride free.”
The investigation is still underway, and there have been no arrests.
