(Photo Courtesy of NCPD) Nathalie Desouza was arrested for allegedly depositing a fake check at a Kings Point bank.
Nathalie A. Desouza, 30, entered Navy Federal Credit Union, located at 300 Steamboat Road, and deposited a counterfeit Citizens Bank cashier’s check in the amount of $30,000 into her personal bank account. The defendant allegdly subsequently withdrew the funds in their entirety between September 5, 2023 and September 7, 2023.
Following an extensive investigation, Desouza was located in New York City on October 20, 2026 and placed under arrest without incident.
Nassau County police charged Desouza with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument in the Second Degree. She was arraigned on October 21 at First District Court in Hempstead.
