LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Pop-reggae legends UB40 are bringing their “Unstoppable Tour” to Las Vegas this fall, with a stop at Brooklyn Bowl on Nov. 1.
The four-time Grammy-nominated group is set to perform a mix of its best-known hits and newer material as it returns to North America for a fifth consecutive year. UB40 has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and is known for global No. 1 songs including “Red Red Wine” and “(I Can’t Help) Falling in Love With You,” along with U.S. Top 10 hits “Here I Am (Come and Take Me)” and “The Way You Do The Things You Do.”
On this year’s tour, the group is performing live for the first time to U.S. audiences its cover of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still The One.” The song is expected to be available on a new album planned for release in 2027.
The show will feature the official UB40 band with original and founding members Jimmy Brown on drums, Robin Campbell on guitar and vocals, Earl Falconer on bass and vocals, and Norman Hassan on percussion and vocals. The touring lineup also includes Martin Meredith (keyboards/WX7/saxophone), Jahred Gordon (keyboards), Laurence Parry (trumpet/flugel/trombone), Ian Thompson (saxophone), Gilly G (MC vocals), Matt Campbell (backing vocals) and lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Doyle.
The tour also includes a first-time onstage duet: Robin Campbell’s son, Matt Campbell, who sings background vocals, is set to perform a duet with Doyle.
Formed in Birmingham, England, UB40 has been recording and touring since 1978. The group has more than 50 UK charting singles and 17 UK Top 10 albums, and has spent a combined 11-plus years on the charts. The band’s lineup has shifted over the years, including the 2008 departure of former lead singer Ali Campbell, who left to pursue a solo career. He was replaced by his brother, Duncan Campbell, who fronted the group until retiring due to illness in 2021. Doyle has since taken over as lead singer and guitarist, leading the last four major UB40 tours and performing on the group’s 2024 album “UB45,” which features new songs and re-imagined classics commemorating the band’s 45th anniversary. The album reached No. 5 on the UK official album chart.
