Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old from Ghana who lives in the Bronx with his father, was on his way to school shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Thursday when he was shot in the abdomen, according to New York City police. He later died at a hospital. New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said President Donald Trump has agreed to grant an expedited B-2 visa to the boy’s mother.
