It’s Election Day and there are several big races for Tri-State voters to make their voices heard.
In one of the most-watched races, Democratic incumbent Kathy Hochul and Republican challenger Bruce Blakeman are running for governor of New York.
There is also a governor’s race in Connecticut where Democrat Ned Lamont is seeking a third term in office as he runs against Republican Ryan Fazio.
And in New Jersey, there is a U.S. Senate race between incumbent Democrat Cory Booker and Republican challenger Justin Murphy.
There are also several key House races to watch. Competitive races in some of New York’s wealthiest congressional districts — the 3rd, 4th and 17th — could help decide whether Democrats regain control over the U.S. House.
The elections could ultimately determine how effective President Donald Trump’s agenda is in the back half of his second term.
Polling sites open at 6 a.m. across the Tri-State. They close at 9 p.m. in New York and an hour earlier at 8 p.m. in New Jersey and Connecticut.
We will have results on Election Night streaming on ABC 7 and throughout the evening on Channel 7.
