Whole Foods Market is expanding its small-format footprint in Brooklyn with a new Whole Foods Market Daily Shop set to open Dec. 11 at 774 Grand Street. The 7,888-square-foot store will open its doors at 8:00 a.m., bringing the company’s convenience-focused concept to East Williamsburg

The Daily Shop model, designed for quick trips and grab-and-go shopping, continues to grow across New York City. Whole Foods Market says these smaller stores are intended to offer “fresh, high-quality ingredients” with the convenience needed for fast-paced urban living.

Since 2024, the company has opened four Daily Shop locations nationwide, including three in New York City. Locations include Hell’s Kitchen, Lenox Hill and the East Village.

Internal data from the Lenox Hill location, according to Whole Foods, underscores demand for the new format.

“Forty-two percent of shoppers at the Lenox Hill store – which just celebrated its one-year anniversary this past September – between September 2024 and May 2025 were either new or re-engaged Whole Foods Market customers that hadn’t shopped at other New York City metro Whole Foods Market locations in the same period the prior year.”

Popular items so far include berries, grapes, avocados and prepared foods.

The new Grand Street store will feature a wide selection of fresh produce, meat and seafood; prepared foods, pre-packed meals and breads; supplements; and a curated lineup of local specialties along with 365 by Whole Foods staples.

Whole Foods Market says the Brooklyn location will carry “more than 350 local products from 250 Northeast-based suppliers,” including whipped cream from Whipnotic, cookies from Wandel and labneh from Bezi. Prepared foods will include “hot rotisserie chicken, entree salads, sandwiches and seasonal favorites, including cream of mushroom soup and buffalo chicken flatbreads.”

On opening morning, customers can expect product samples from local suppliers, and the first 300 people in line will receive a limited-edition tote bag.

As part of the company’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, the Brooklyn Daily Shop will participate in food donations to City Harvest, helping transport surplus food to communities facing need.

Prime members will have access to weekly discounts and 10% off sale items. Shoppers will also be able to pay with Amazon One palm recognition or through the Whole Foods Market or Amazon app.
