An elderly driver in the midst of a possible stroke mowed down three pedestrians, leaving an 89-year-old woman dead and two others injured on a Brooklyn sidewalk Wednesday, police and sources said.
The 86-year-old motorist reversed his Chrysler Town and Country SUV and jumped the sidewalk before striking the three pedestrians near Neptune Avenue and W. 6th St. at 12:51 pm in Coney Island, according to cops.
“I saw the man back up and knock them down, and I started screaming,” a horrified witness told Pix 11.

“As I came closer, I recognized one of the women. It could’ve been me.”
The 89-year-old woman was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital, but could not be saved.
Two women — a 43-year-old and a 75-year-old — were taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
“”They were all bloody. It was a mess,” the witness added.
“One woman was yelling in excruciating pain.”
Police did not charge the octogenarian driver with a crime.
Sources told The Post he suffered from a possible stroke at the time of the crash and remained on the scene.

He was taken to Maimonides Hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition.
