New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd has reportedly been critically wounded in a shooting in New York City, per multiple reports. Boyd is in critical but stable condition at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, a police spokesperson told ESPN.

Police say that the shooting took place on 38th street in Midtown Manhattan at around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

In a statement shared with multiple outlets, the team says that it is aware of the situation but has no additional comment.

Boyd signed a one-year deal with the Jets this offseason after two years with the Houston Texans. He was placed on injured reserve in August with a shoulder injury.

The Jets are not playing Sunday, having lost to the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
