A wind advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. on Monday due to wind gusts reaching up to 50 miles per hour across the city.
Officials are warning that west winds will increase to speeds around 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour.
Heavy winds can cause scattered power outages and falling tree limbs.
New Yorkers are urged to use caution while driving and secure outdoor items.
