STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Ivy Prep Early Learning Academy, which operates several early learning and child-care centers in New York City, including one in Bulls Head, is expanding its footprint on Staten Island, and has announced plans to open a second location in Dongan Hills next year.
“We’re proud to have connected a high-quality educational institution with a property that supports its mission and strengthens the surrounding community,” said Michelle Abramov, executive managing director at RIPCO Real Estate, which arranged the lease with Ivy Prep for 1719 Hylan Blvd. “This project reflects the type of thoughtful, purpose-driven work our team is passionate about, identifying spaces that meet the operational needs of our clients while contributing positively to local neighborhoods.”
Located at the corner of Seaview Avenue along a highly trafficked strip of Hylan, the three-story school totals 15,458 square feet and includes 2,770 square feet of outdoor playground space. The location is expected to open in mid-2026.
According to the real estate company, the landlord, RCM Group, acquired the property out of foreclosure, taking over and completing what was originally slated to be another day care development. After RIPCO secured Ivy Prep as an educational tenant, the landlord completed the build-out to meet the Ivy Prep’s specifications.
Ivy Prep, which offers services for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, will fill the space with 17 classrooms, plus multiple administrative offices and recreational rooms. The school noted in a statement that the new address will accommodate nearly 200 students. Universal Pre-K, day-care services and “other child-related services to be determined” will be available. The space will be open Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
This will be Ivy Prep Early Learning Academy’s fourth location in New York City. In addition to the Bulls Head and Dongan Hills centers, the brand also offers child care in the Bronx and Queens.
