The annual Bronx Zoo Holiday Lights Festival kicked off Tuesday night with a preview for members of the Wildlife Historical Society. The festival includes thousands of lights with hundreds of animal lanterns across six illuminated geographically-themed trails, a light tunnel, ice carving demonstrations, holiday entertainment, hands-on activities for adults and children, a holiday train, and the Freeze Zone, featuring massive snow tube slides, an illuminated ice throne photo opportunity, talking snowmen, and a snowball wall where families can take part in virtual snowball tossing. The Holiday Lights Festival opens to the public on Nov. 21 and runs through Jan. 4th.
