MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a three-car collision Tuesday night on the east side of Manhattan, authorities said.
The crash was reported around 6:46 p.m. Tuesday near Hayes Drive and McCall Road.
Upon arrival, Riley County police officers found a 2014 Ford Focus failed to yield on a left-hand turn, resulting in a collision with a 2015 Chrysler 200.

The Chrysler then ran into a 2016 Toyota Corolla as it attempted to stop, police officials said.
The driver of the Ford, Randy Welter, 71, and a passenger in the car, Teresa Frazier, 65, both of Manhattan, were transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for treatment of their injuries. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
No injuries were reported to the driver of the Chrysler, identified as Callen Barta, 19, of Manhattan, or the driver of the Toyota, identified as Jackson West, 18, of Manhattan.
Riley County police officials said Welater was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.
