FLUSHING, Queens (WABC) — Investigators are working to determine if an e-bike sparked a fire at a NYCHA complex in Flushing, Queens.

The fire started on the 10th floor of the James A. Bland Houses around 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

Four people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Several crews from FDNY, OEM, and the Red Cross were on the scene as of 4 a.m.

FDNY Hazmat units secured an e-bike, and will determine what role it may have had in the blaze.

Eyewitness News’ cameras were rolling as crews lined the outside the building.

Residents were seen exiting the complex building, as one man got on a stretcher before he was rolled away and put in an ambulance.

Most residents were back inside their apartments around 4:30 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
