ALBANY, N.Y. — Robert Smullen, a retired Marine Corps Colonel and current New York State assemblyman, announced his campaign for U.S. Congress in New York’s 21st District.
Smullen represents the 118th Assembly District.
He served 24 years in the Marine Corps, including three tours in Afghanistan, and was appointed a White House Fellow under President George W. Bush.
In 2018, President Trump appointed him to the President’s Commission on White House Fellows.
Smullen lives in Fulton County. He was elected to the State Assembly in 2018. His district includes all of Hamilton County, along with portions of Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery and Oneida counties.
