STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — While the Staten Island Mall in New Springville will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, it will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday, with some stores opening earlier.
Anchor department stores such as Macy’s and JCPenney will open their doors at 6 a.m. and 5 a.m., respectively.
The shopping center will launch its holiday schedule on Friday, Dec. 6, which will run through Christmas Eve. During that time, the Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. On Christmas Eve, the Mall will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the shopping center will be closed on Christmas Day. The Mall will be open New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Santa Claus arrived at the Mall earlier this month and will be available for photos until Dec. 24. He is located on the ground floor in front of JCPenney from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
There is also availability for pet photos with Santa on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. until Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Walk-ups are welcome every day until closing, but participants can reserve their time here.
