STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The New York Concert Opera will reprise its “A New York Concert Opera Christmas” Saturday evening, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the historic Christ Church in New Brighton.

Organizers ask that revelers ring in the holiday season with the NYCO soloists, the Christ Church Chancel Choir, and the Christ Church Youth Choir.

Along with Soprano Melody Alesi and Mezzo Soprano Anna Tonna, this year’s concert also features violinist Bori Choi, flutist Richard Paratley and trumpeter Luke Finaldi, and the opera company’s organist, Andrew Kilkenny.

The company will once again present Miles Rivera and Jana Ballard, his mom.

NYCO will fill the halls of the majestic 175-year-old gothic stone church with the most sacred, classical, traditional and beloved music of the holiday season!,” says Melody Alesi, founder of the opera company who adds, “While you get wrapped up in the magic, don’t forget to take in the beauty and history of the immense original Tiffany windows.”

After the concert, guests will get to sip champagne and enjoy food tasting highlighting some of Staten Island’s most popular restaurants, while attending the New York Opera’s post-concert Meet the Artists’ Reception.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Christ Church is located at 76 Franklin Ave.

Tickets, that are $45, include admission to the post-concert Meet the Artists’ Reception.

Advanced ticket sales are suggested. However, tickets are also available at the door.
