TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Riley County Police Department is investigating a death along Linear Trail.
On Tuesday morning, an unknown adult male was found dead along the trail.
The cause of his death is unclear at this time.
This is an ongoing investigation.
Around 8 a.m., RCPD asked the public through its social media to avoid the area of the Linear Trail from Manhattan Avenue to 5th Street until further notice.
UPDATE: As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Linear Trail was opened back up to the public.
