STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Black Friday at Max’s Es-Ca isn’t just about gift cards—it’s about prix fixe feasts, bubbly brunches, and giving back. The Dongan Hills restaurant will host a three-day event combining dining specials with charitable giving to support Lily, a 3-year-old battling leukemia.

From Friday through Sunday at 1559 Richmond Rd., guests can enjoy a gift card promotion—receive a $15 bonus card for every $100 purchased. Friday and Saturday feature a three-course prix fixe menu for $49.95 per person plus tax and gratuity.

On Sunday, a holiday brunch market runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., showcasing more than 35 small businesses. The brunch buffet during that timeframe costs $55 per person and includes wine and sangria. Guests can attend for brunch or just shop.

The event will also include an angel tree — a holiday tradition where guests select a tag from the tree and purchase a gift for a child or family in need — and a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds benefit Lily, a child barely 3 years old who is fighting leukemia.

Max’s Es-Ca, co-owned by Alison Marchese and Max Calicchio, is known for its fine dining and special events like weekend comedy shows. Its pavilion space hosts wine dinners, cigar nights, and seasonal celebrations, and its outdoor area —carved from a parking lot during the pandemic —has become a permanent feature.

Reservations are recommended. The restaurant can be reached via 718-980-5006 or MaxsEsca.com.
