What excites you the most about living in New York City and how do you see it enhancing your learning experience? I have lived in New York City for four years and recently moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn. I love the cultural and thought diversity in New York City. During my MBA, I look forward to learning from both my classmates and the broader New York City community, who provide varied past experiences and perspectives.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of NYU Stern’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I was really attracted to how much NYU Stern empowers students to customize their MBA experience. NYU Stern MBA students can select up to three specializations to shape their coursework. I am particularly interested in the Tech Product Management and FinTech specializations that include courses where MBA students can engage with real companies in the New York City tech scene through experiential learning.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at NYU Stern? I am excited to get involved with Stern Women in Business (SWIB), which aims to provide MBA students with personal and professional development opportunities. I am passionate about promoting mentorship and career advancement for women, so I look forward to learning from inspiring women leaders and supporting the growth of fellow students as a member of SWIB.

What does EQ (Emotional Intelligence) mean to you and when have you seen its value in your career? To me, Emotional Intelligence (EQ) revolves around the ability to communicate with other people and strengthen relationships. In my career as a product manager, EQ was critical during the design process in order to create user-centric technology. My team at Bank of America worked hard to foster relationships with users, so we could leverage their feedback to build features that would be most beneficial to them.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: At Bank of America, I was a Product Manager for the CashPro App, which is a mobile banking and payments app for corporate and commercial clients. In 2024, I worked on a year-long campaign to increase payment approvals in the CashPro App by marketing the benefits of the app to users. By the end of 2024, CashPro App exceeded $1 trillion in payments approved in the app, which was a 25% increase year-over-year compared to 2023.

What is your unique quality that will enable you to make a big contribution to the Class of 2027? I am a very focused person. Coming from an engineering undergraduate degree and technology team work experience, I like to tackle big questions and be fully absorbed in whatever I am working on. Whether it be cultivating relationships, working on academic projects, or engaging with campus clubs, I aim to bring my focus to the NYU Stern community this fall.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into NYU Stern’s MBA program? I thought of my NYU Stern application as “telling my story,” both personally and professionally. As cheesy as it sounds, my advice would be to be authentic, and do not try to tell someone else’s story. Be true to what your experiences and interests are, so you can demonstrate how you would fit with the NYU Stern community.
