(NEWARK, NJ) — Vocal ensemble Chanticleer offers a truly sublime holiday listening experience with debut Delos album Joy to the World complemented by an extensive US Christmas tour including two local stops: St. Ignatius Loyola Church in NYC on December 5th & 7th with a show at NJPAC in Newark on December 6, 2025 in between.
Famed for its “accuracy of intonation, purity of blend, of color and swagger of style” (Boston Globe), the GRAMMY® Award-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer celebrates the release of Joy to the World, out October 31. This new Christmas collection blends tradition with innovation, combining Renaissance motets and fresh arrangements of classic carols with contemporary compositions, including two new commissions from Joanna Marsh. Showcasing the ensemble’s extraordinary ability to move seamlessly and expertly between styles, Chanticleer’s first Delos release conjures a wintertime world of magic, light, and wonder.
Joy to the World – Traditional Christmas carols and new works by: Lowell Mason, Sarah Quartel, Michael Praetorius, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Cristóbal de Morales, Henry Gauntlett, John Jacob Niles, Steven Sametz, John Francis Wade, Franz Xaver Gruber, Richard Rodgers and Joanna Marsh.
For nearly 50 years, Chanticleer has graced listeners with their lyrical line and blended harmony.  One of the world’s most admired acapella ensembles, Chanticleer gives voice to authentic Renaissance madrigals, jazz, pop, and more.  For one very special performance, San Francisco-based Chanticleer will warm your holiday heart as their voices ring through the Victoria Theater in Christmas classics and carols.
Tickets for the December 6th performance at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) are available for purchase online. NJPAC is located at One Center Street in Newark, New Jersey.
