The next stop on this Brooklyn bound L train: Thanksgiving dinner.
A group set up a full holiday meal, complete with all the fixings, aboard the New York City subway for anyone who wanted to join in on the festivities.
It’s part of what’s become an annual tradition in Canarsie. As the train rolled on, people held on and joined the meal as they could, as others departed the meal at their stop.
Organizers say it’s all part of a way to give back, especially to those who would otherwise not have a Thanksgiving meal.
The celebration also included a small subway platform dance party when the food was finished and the ride was over.
